Inaugurated in 1997, Tulsa Youth Opera is a tuition-free chorus for young singers ages 8-18. Each season Tulsa Youth Opera is featured in a Tulsa Opera mainstage opera or in a special concert. In honor of the 10th Anniversary of Tulsa Youth Opera, a special family production of The Pirates of Penzance featuring an all-student cast of 54 will recreate the “children cast” tours of G & S operettas which were so popular in the United States in the late 1800’s.
